Canon Group refuerza la estrategia de crecimiento de etiquetas y empaques con la adquisición de Edale
Canon Production Printing y Canon Inc. anunciaron hoy la adquisición del fabricante de equipos de conversión de empaques con sede en el Reino Unido Edale , con el objetivo de fortalecer el negocio de etiquetas y empaques de Canon y crear oportunidades para desarrollos futuros.
A través de esta adquisición, Canon está intensificando su estrategia a largo plazo para brindar soluciones llave en mano para los sectores de etiquetas y empaques. La medida permitirá a Canon Production Printing desarrollar aún más su línea de productos LabelStream 4000 , así como brindar experiencia y tecnología para productos futuros.
Con sede en Hampshire, Reino Unido, Edale diseña y fabrica soluciones de impresión y conversión de clase mundial para la industria de etiquetas y empaques, incluidas prensas digitales e híbridas, líneas de producción de etiquetas y cartón, troqueladoras planas y equipos de acabado y conversión. La compañía tiene una larga historia en la industria de las etiquetas flexográficas y una sólida reputación por sus soluciones de conversión y transporte web para la producción de etiquetas digitales.

Edale, que seguirá comercializando bajo la marca Edale, seguirá siendo una empresa gestionada de forma independiente, siguiendo su estrategia establecida de proporcionar soluciones de impresión y acabado, centradas en los segmentos de etiquetas, cajas plegables y envases flexibles. Grahame Barker se jubilará y el negocio estará dirigido por el equipo de gestión existente de Edale bajo la dirección del director general James Boughton, quien reportará a Canon Production Printing a través de Walter Vogelsberger, vicepresidente de Digital Packaging Printing.
